SARA SCHROEDER
Welcome to a new school year! I am very blessed to be part of such a fabulous school. Classical School has been my home since we opened our doors in 1999. I taught sixth grade for 15 years and fourth grade for 7 years. Starting in the 2021-2022 school year, I took on a few new roles…Math and Literacy Interventionist as well as Enrollment/Program Support. I truly enjoy the change of pace and new responsibilities.
I was born and raised in Appleton, Wisconsin. I attended Johnston Elementary, James Madison Middle School, and Appleton East High School. I love living in the Fox Valley area and am glad to be teaching here as well.
I graduated in 1999 from St. Norbert College in DePere, Wisconsin with a major in Elementary and Middle School Education. I also have a minor in Mathematics and another in Adaptive Education. I enjoy teaching all subjects, but I have to say math is my favorite.
In May of 2001, I married my high school sweetheart. Brett and I met in elementary school and have always been great friends. His mother was actually my preschool teacher, so our families go way back. We are truly enjoying our lives together. Brett and I have two children, William and Griffin. Will is in his second year at UW-Whitewater, and Griffin is a junior at Appleton North.
My interests include running and reading. My favorite children’s book is Charlotte’s Web by E.B. White. However, Where the Red Fern Grows, by Wilson Rawls, comes in a close second. Of course, I enjoy spending time with my family, and my boys sure keep me busy!
I am very passionate about my roles at Classical School. I am truly fond of our philosophy and curriculum. Our students and families are incredible, and I am honored to be part of such a fantastic school community. Enjoy the school year!
